Medoacus Publishing House was founded in 1986 and immediately distinguished itself for its roots in the area between Padua and Venice. The local focus is nourished by a cosmopolitan spirit: the guides are all translated by native-speaking graduate teachers and published in ten languages.

Historical notes

The interest that initially invested the Riviera del Brenta, then focused on the villas of the same. Particular attention was paid to Villa Pisani in Stra starting from the nineties when the publishing house managed the first bookshop of the Villa with the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. It is in this context that the most prestigious work was published, “The treasures of Villa Pisani”, born from the active collaboration with the Superintendence for Artistic, Architectural and Environmental Heritage of Eastern Veneto.

In the meantime, Medoacus’ curiosity expanded to the city of Padua. Here he published a detailed guide of the city, which was followed by other publications that culminated in the “Guide to Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel”.
The future projection plans the expansion of the titles to the Venetian Villas of the entire region with particular attention to the Palladian ones. To then dedicate itself to the city of Venice and Verona.

Strengthened by these skills, we also began to work in the educational and multimedia sector.

Our pride lies in the certainty that often the small seeds, the most rooted, resist time and can produce great results.
